The Hindu gods are simply a vessel that help to take us to that place of higher consiousness. Nothing more, nothing less.

The valley that we are in lies between Nasik & Trimbak. A very holy site where Shiva is believed to have a strong presence. Imagery of Shiva is often depicted with cobras around the neck.......and so the locals feel that the multitude of snakes in this valley (this is the snake season) are a blessing. They indicate Shiva's energy & treat them with respect.
